From Las Pedroñeras the walk passes El Pedernoso, with its medieval town hall archway and the seventeenth century Palace of the Marquises of Garnica, then Santa María de los Llanos, with a Romanesque church carved with a Santiago cross. It continues to Mota del Cuervo, the Balcony of La Mancha, where white windmills line the ridge above the thirteenth century Church of San Miguel Arcángel. The stage ends at El Toboso, at the fifteenth century Church of San Antonio Abad, a town tied to Cervantes and Don Quixote.
