12 km from Le Castella to Capo Rizzuto along the Area Marina Protetta Capo Rizzuto, the largest in Italy. Coves, beaches and headlands follow one another, and between the two you reach the Dune di Sovereto, where pine scent meets salt air and rare white sea lilies grow; loggerhead turtles nest on this coast. One warning: after rain the Vurga or Capopiccolo channel, crossed on the beach after Sovereto, can be in flood. If so, take the bus from Le Castella to Isola di Capo Rizzuto and rejoin the track at Seleno beach.
