From the Romanesque church of San Pietro, the path skirts the slopes of Monte Mereu and its nuraghe, with the hillside close on one side and open country on the other. It is a short, quiet stage, about 5 km, before the first rooftops of Pula's old centre come into view ahead to the south-east.
