About
The Cammino dei Frati Santi is a spiritual walk in Bisignano, in the Crati valley of Calabria, on the footsteps of Sant'Umile da Bisignano. You start and end at the Church and Convent of Sant'Umile, where the friar's cell keeps his relics, a crucifix from his lifetime and a painting held to be his true likeness.
From the sanctuary a quiet path takes you down a few hundred metres to the Grotto of Penance, where the saint spent long hours in prayer and where a spring, held by many to be miraculous, still flows. The grotto is always open and free to visit.
