You climb the normal route, CAI path 401, to the summit of Monte Terminillo at 2,217 m, then follow the rocky Cresta dei Sassetelli on path 403 to Cima di Vall'Organo and traverse the north face back to the rifugio. Allow 3 to 4 hours. There is no water on the way, so fill up before you leave.
