Beach sand gives way to dirt tracks past Porto Corallo and Torre dei Dieci Cavalli, the coastal tower whose walk with Torre Salinas gave the cammino its idea. The line then crosses the Flumendosa river mouth directly: usually barred by a sandbar and passable on foot, but a bridge detour or boat transfer may be needed when it is open. San Nicola di Quirra has only a church and one hotel, so lodging is scarce.
