From the rural chiesa campestre di San Giorgio at Osini, six km of asphalt pass the Su Marmuri cave area under the taccu di Ulassai to the Scala di San Giorgio, a dramatic cleft in the taccu of Osini and a natural monument since 1994. Country tracks past nuraghe Orruttu and Sa Colonia-Sa Brecca lead to Rio San Girolamo and into Ussassai, about 17 km.
